Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the Daily Workout AI Tracker app for iPhone, iPad and Mac (the "app") and the dailyworkout.ai website (the "site") handle information. Daily Workout is operated by Daniel Gnecco ("we", "us"). Questions: hello@dailyworkout.ai.
The short version: we don't sell your information, we don't use it for advertising, and the app doesn't track you across other companies' apps or websites. The data the app collects is described in its App Store privacy label as not linked to your identity, and it's used to make the app work.
1. Information the app collects
The categories below match the app's privacy label on the App Store, where the only purpose listed is app functionality.
- Fitness (health & fitness data). The workouts you log or import, such as workout type, date, duration, intensity, effort, calories and how you said you felt, plus your goal, level and the training days you choose. We use it to show your streak, calendar and analytics, and to build today's workout.
- What you enter (other user content). Notes, effort tags, setup answers and the questions you ask the AI coach. We use them to provide those features.
- Purchase history. Whether you have Premium. We use it to unlock what you paid for.
We don't ask for your name, phone number, contacts, precise location or photos in order to use the app.
2. Apple Health
Apple Health access is optional and off until you allow it in Apple's permission screen. If you allow it, the app can read your workout history from Health (so your streak, calendar and analytics fill in) and write the workouts you log back to Health. You choose exactly which data types to share, and you can change this at any time in the Health app or iOS Settings.
Information from Apple Health is used only to provide the app's fitness features to you. We never use it for advertising or marketing, never sell it, and never share it with data brokers. We don't store Apple Health data in iCloud.
3. AI features
Today's workout and the AI coach use artificial intelligence. To produce a workout or a reply, the information that feature needs (for example your goal, level, recent workouts, how you said you felt and your question) is sent to an AI service provider that processes it on our behalf and returns the result. Please don't enter information you wouldn't want processed this way, such as medical details or other people's personal information.
AI output can be wrong or incomplete. It's general fitness information, not medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment plan. Check with a doctor before starting a new exercise program, and stop if something hurts.
4. Payments
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see your card details. Apple tells the app whether a purchase is active so we can unlock Premium. Apple's handling of your payment information is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
5. Notifications, widgets and sharing
If you allow notifications, the app sends daily reminders and streak-at-risk nudges. You can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → Daily Workout. Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets show your status, week and streak on your device, so anyone who can see your screen can see them. Share cards are created on your device and are shared only if you choose a destination in Apple's share sheet.
6. Who we share information with
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with:
- Service providers who help us run the app, such as hosting and data storage, the AI service provider described in section 3, and subscription management. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
- Apple, for purchases, App Store distribution, Apple Health and the iOS features you choose to use.
- Authorities, if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.
7. How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we need it to provide the app, or as long as the law requires. Deleting the app removes the data stored on your device. Workouts written to Apple Health stay in Health until you delete them there. To ask us to delete data held by us or our service providers, email hello@dailyworkout.ai. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription; manage subscriptions in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to object to or limit some processing. Email hello@dailyworkout.ai and we'll respond within the time the law requires. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. Because app data isn't linked to your identity, we may ask for details that help us find it.
9. Children
Daily Workout is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
10. Security
We use reasonable safeguards for the information we handle, and we require our service providers to do the same. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
11. This website
You can read dailyworkout.ai without an account. The site doesn't use cookies, advertising pixels or third-party analytics, and it doesn't have forms. The "what workout should I do today" picker runs entirely in your browser; your answers are not sent anywhere. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request information (such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. App Store links take you to Apple, where Apple's policies apply. If you email us, we use your message and email address only to reply.
12. International transfers
We and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from yours.
13. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how the app uses your information, we'll also tell you in the app or on the App Store listing.
